About The Burning Room

The Burning Room is a comedy-horror VR experience taking you deep into the complex and torrid history of both Britain's entrenched industrial past, the perpetual cycle of decrepit housing and failed renovation, and your own psyche, moving from the tidy, presentable exterior we show to the world into the lost questions hanging in the recesses of our minds.

Through the narrative produced by an award-winning writer and producer, and the environment and interactive design created by BetaJester 's highly experienced development team, we will take players on a journey from the lavish reception to the corrupt soul of Moorside Apartments, whilst immersing them in a story filled with fear, trepidation, laughter, and reality, creating the kind of psychological thriller players have been crying out for since the modern launch of VR.

CULT CLASSIC

The original Burning Room was a viral success in 2014. With of 40 million views across multiple high-profile YouTube channels, it remains a highlight of the Flash/FMV horror scene. We’re looking to build on the narrative that made the original so compelling and engaging to create something to live long in the minds of modern audiences.

We’re excited to show people what the Burning Room is all about at this year’s London Games Festival. You can find out more by viewing our presskit.
